  • Tonight's DREAM TEAM at CCMP !!!!

what a great night. pretty good car count. the stands were packed. the weather was perfect.
two men who made a huge part of the night alot of fun and excitement are Gary LaPlante who is President of the Outlaw Street Stocks and former President of TBARA Don Rehms! These are two of the finest and most hard working promoters in Florida short track racing and gave us one heck of a fun night!!!
. i think by the end of the year they will exceed all expectations! we had about 10 or 11 sprints in this first race. I bet they will double by next race. Scottie Adema, the Gimmlers, the Butlers and other awesome sprinters were there. what an exciting race. the only bad thing is that Shane Butler was hurt in a wreck and taken by ambulance for back or neck injuries. I will keep you in my prayers Shane!
It was the best night of racing at CCMP in a few months and i think it is just the tip of the iceburg!
Thank you Gary and Don for your hard work. Thank you sprinters for showing up! we love you !
One more thing. Thank you to all the "ORANGE TEAM"!!!! Everyone who came down to race at CCMP... You sure make it fun!
ohhhhh and DAVE ASHLEY!!!! welcome back from Massachusetts! So happy to see you! (((((HUGS))))))))

An nice night of racing. I particularly enjoyed the wingless sprints and am looking forward to their return, next month. It would be great if they could pick up a few more cars but for a first time show, it was a good turn-out. Glad to hear that he fellow who was injured is back on his feet.

An observation, NOT A COMPLAINT. With the Outlaw Street Stocks having a 12 or 13 car field, I'd limit their features to 30 - 35 laps. The racing's pretty much over at that point and your just waiting for mechanical failure and/or the tires to "give up". Maybe with 20+ cars, 50 laps makes a good show.

Did Jeff VanDusen, or his dad, originally run with the Empire State or Patriot sprint group from up-state New York? The name sounds familiar.

Jeff is the son of Mike VanDusen. Both have run the ESS and Patriot Sprint groups in New York. Mike is a former champion. I was hoping to see them in a show down here. I didn't realize they ran the asphalt.
