  • East Bay Night 1

Congrats to the Malabar Missle Kenny Adams for his opening night win at The Clay by the Bay. It seems Adams made a late race charge to pass ASCS legend Gary Wright (last year's King of the 360s winner).

Sprint cars can't be totally dead, 8 heat races, three B Mains...

Hope the R word doesn't get North Florida tonight!

Boneman, I guess I've been in the presence of greatness.

Just looked on the North Florida website and its only $20 for the grandstands tonight! How about that 410 sprints for $20. Thank you North Florida...

That feature last night was awesome, the heat races were somewhat follow the leader and boring a bit though. Overall I had a good time.

I checked the results....glad to see that as usual, when it comes to real hard core racing against a full field of tough competition, Gene Lasker finished dead last in the A main. Same every year...

I think Wright had the race in hand until that late race caution. What a move by Adams to get by Wright though. It looked like Wrights tires may have gone away near the end. There were plenty of sprints but, like someone else said, the heats and B-mains were kind of boring. I was disappointed in Dakota Steven's luck. I was hoping to see something good from him.
I also thought the bumblebee's (mini-sprints) put on a good show. One of them took a heck of a ride on the front straight. He's going to have his work cut out repairing that car.
Next stop will be next week at East Bay to see some late models. Hopefully I'll see some 2 and 3 wide racing with them.

On one of the restarts, Terry Gray, who started 4'th, spun in turn 1. Lasker started near the back and still managed to nail Terry, sending both to the trailer.
