I have said it before, Go back to the late 80's early 90's and stick to your guns. We always had great car counts and the stands would always be full at OSW. Start the fast cars in the rear and make them work for what they get. People come to see races , not follow the leader where the guy with the fastest car starts on pole and drives off into the sunset.

Geesh and I thought I was alone in complete flips of the field.. I know scads of racers don't like them, but they make the race much more interesting for fans and racers alike...

RACERS don't mind coming from the back. DRIVERS want to start up front.

If you've got a competitive car/truck, there's nothing more fun than starting in the back and working your way through the field. Plus, it gives everybody time to spread out, settle down and sometimes even wreck!

I use to race A Bombers at OSW and started in the rear almost every night, and had more fun coming through the field. That was a BLAST. We went from that to OWM and still had fun, but it was different. We still liked coming from the rear best. Wish I could still afford to do it but I can't so, I crew chief the 38 SLM and the 38 OWM for David Debelius and driver Chad Pierce. Still keep my hands and mind busy.

FLMOD12.. I understand how that works.. Since I got divorced and then lost my position.. Been tough and I haven't been racing just working on things for folks..

But working oneself up from the rear is way more fun than starting pole and running away..
