This was one of the best magazines ever... First appeared in 1965 and lasted, I think, until about 1970... Was well known for the full-color 8X10 portraits of the top drivers of the day and unique race car montages, plus lots of good stories and profiles... I have most of the issues through 1968 and will post some stuff when I can get to it... This is the cover of the Spring 1968 edition that featured all the Daytona February action... The main picture shows the starting line-up for the 24 hour race back in it's heyday when the manufacturers were involved... You can see the large contingent of Porsche factory cars (they won that year), The Wyer Gulf Ford GTs, Ferraris and the Howmett Turbine Car all gathered on pit road...

That is a very cool cover. At this years race I actually got to see and hear the howmet turbine car. very neat
