Hialeah Thundercar guys at the Reunion Nov. 27

For several years the steel bodied early Monte Carlos, Chevelles and a few Fords and MoPars made up one of the most competitive divisions at Hialeah -the Thundercars. They ran super hard on skinny tires and sheer guts but always put on a show. Among those guys who will be on hand for the big reunion on the 27th at the Ramada Inn Celebration in Kissimmee will be.......

Teddy and Randy Barnwell, Scott Kilbury, Ed Griesmeyer, Travis McCoy, Skip Gibson, Mark Keeteman and Steve Krinsky.

Back in the 70's and '80's, the Hialeah Thundercars put on some of the best racing I've ever seen - and that was on a flat, slippery, hard to pass on track. It was always a treat to watch a guy like Joe Winchell(among others) work his way to the front of a 25 car field after starting at the rear(Hialeah would "handicap" the field). Good stuff,for sure....
