      Maybe it's changed.???

all you have to do is use your own phone and dial 386-427-4129 (or any of the other numbers listed in the contact or rule book section of the websites) and here's the best part... you don't have to wait for someone lurking online to respond... they can actually talk back to you in real-time...

Some say it is a fad and will soon pass but we have faith in this new technology that it just may catch on!
A little over a yr ago, when I USED to be involved in sponsorships, I have called the track several times and always got a machine. And unless I specifically stated I wanted to sponsor/help sponsor something, no-one ever returned my call. If Joe, when he was there, thought he could get in my pockets he would call back, so what sense is there in calling?? I'm not upset at Joe, he was like most other racers in that regard.

        Good Idea!

It could be at the corner, it could be halfway to the flagstand, it could be at the flagstand. Vary the starts and positions... This would not only make for more interesting starts for the racers, but the fans in the stands would enjoy them more...

No worries about lines, who jumped who, and blah blah blah. If you can't follow the Flagman's call once, shame on you. Twice, back to the back and deal with it you Flocked up not the other guy...

        have a great day...

Edit: Took a look at the 2011 Fascar rules and it states under the General Rules #14 B. The FASCAR Flagman starts the race on the initial start.

That's a start that hopefully won't be changed back to the line.
But remember Dwayne, the REAL order comes from the tower. As on all of the calls, watch the flagman, he doesn't call anything without looking up in the tower.

That's exactly right tuna! In a sport where safety is a number one concern, the man with the power to make a very important decision can't because he has to get the permission first. I've seen many nights where the caution flag does'nt come out until the field is pretty much on top of the car/cars that are still in the middle of the track. I know it can get a little annoying when the caution keeps coming out but i would rather see that than someone getting seriously hurt. I guess it would be safe to say that until the track give's the permission for him to make the on track decissions and the track to back him up, that will obviously never work the way it should.
