Well Benny Hill music because they prob do think we are a joke.Thats why we have to run last every week,I guess the fans would rather watch 3 legends,3 sportsman or 2 reg mods run.

Mark it can't be the brake lights cause even though it says we have to run them in the rules there are only 3 or 4 of us that have them out of 16 to 20 cars.I'll be shutting mine off for the last race.

Dave if v-8 cars are dieing I guess the super stocks are in for it also.If they put there foot down and said only v-8s then you'll see how fast they start popping up.They are all over Craigslist.

NO GUTTING, CHOPPING, TORCHING OR CUTTING OF ANY KIND. IF YOU GUT, CUT CHOP OR TORCH, YOU DO NOT RACE.Now if they followed that rule there would be 3/4 of the field going home every week.(no dashes or wheel wells in most cars). We really need a major rewrite for the strictly stocks,IF IT DOESN'T SAY IT YOU CAN'T DO IT just doesn't cut it.Tire rule is the easiest to enforce and to follow yet I saw a set of 60s pass tech last race.

Also I don't see where letting 7 to 10 drivers in for free helps the track out,car count yes but no money for the track doesn't help in the long run.Just not fair to everyone that has been paying all year.

Sorry about the rant but it seems like so many people ask questions and there is never a concrete answer.Too much is left up in the air.I do feel like the strickly stocks are maybe the strongest class that show up every week and can be even stronger if we have some very specific rules that are followed every week.It seems like the thinking in the past has been let the rules slide and more will show up.I think follow them closer to make the cars equal and the racing will get better, then more will come.

One last thing, since it's hard to get people to show up to ask questions about the new rulebook lets try something different.Make a thread on karnac for each class, start it with the rules for that class then let drivers post questions for that class.Have one or two tech people answer these questions with thefinal answer.Do this for one month then finalize the rulebook and that's that. That way there is no mid season drama with a rules problem. This may be a pipe dream but just trying.

        OK I'll be quiet now,thanks.

O'k, people say I have no right to comment because i dont run a race car. But youre talking about playing music during a race? Well If the criterior for commenting here is running a car than what in hell differance does the music make? You drivers won't hear it anyhow, right? And me as a fan and FORMER sponsor of lots of race related things, I can't hear it either during the race, so why don't the track shut the speakers off during the race just like they do the score tower, might save another $5!!
Also in the pits shut the speakers off, you hardly hear them announce the next race as well as the national anthem. Went to Odala yrs ago, loved it, only reason I dont go now os its just to far for me. But one thing that impressed me was the nice clean, well supervised play area for the children, it was well lit and in an areas where noy only the people supervising the area could see but the fans also could see. Is the play area at NSS supervised? i don't know, just asking. Since there are child molesters everywhere, I think that is important. The other thing that impressed me was at any place there I could hear the announcer clearly even during the race.

I agree, no silly music during the race. It's disrespectful to the guys and gals that take the strictly stock racing seriously.

Maybe the fans would take the strictly stock racing seriously if all cars looked more like prepared racecars. Just thinking outloud-

We are thinking that we can discuss the rule book we are supposed to follow. Especially when it is full of gaping holes like the rules for this class are.

Maybe you are right, "just shut this whole internet thing down". Everyone should just believe what they read, do what they are told, and do not question it.

I can see how the music could be taken as disrespectful. Alot of fans don't realize how much effort keeps these cars going and think they are a joke. I cannot remember what track I was at several years ago but they used to play the Ringling Bros. theme song when the pure stocks raced. I thought it was funny until I started racing myself.

To tell you honestly, that class has started to become more interesting as of late... In other words more and closer racing. I would bet that most of the guys and gals would just love to have their race announced just like any other class out on the track. Regardless of what anyone thinks, alot of people who now race other "higher, money" classes started in just that class.

We must remember that this is supposed to be the class that helps build other classes. Point to be made, I went up to the stands after one of our races finished to watch the strictly stock race and I heard a spectator comment on how he would love to try racing in strictly stocks, but doesn't want to be made fun of with the music.

I know the track is tryiing something to make the class more interesting and entertaining to the fans, but I think that alot of people that do stay to watch the strictly race would like to hear about the race.

Good try and lets keep on going to make things enjoyable for all involved, racers, fans, and track employees.

You people crack me up... especially because I talk to a lot of you on a regular basis... the Music was a 'fun' thing... if someone has had a problem with it up until now all they had to do was talk to me about it yet this is the FIRST time I have ever heard it addressed... Is it just easier to wait until the end of the season and then complain that it's been 'happening all year'...

If you had a problem or an opinion, why not just tell/ask me about it?

I'm not trying to be rude/nasty/disrespectful I just don't understand why NOBODY has EVER said ANYTHING to me up until now... ESPECIALLY the ones that I talk to at the track or on facebook and such.

As far as hearing about the race... It has gotten a LOT better lately... but for a while we had no clue who was in what car half the time because a LOT of them don't register... and half the cars weren't even marked well enough with numbers to even distinguish them from one another... All we could do was call them by color and in some cases make/model
