  • New Press Release from Owners meeting

As stated in my first release (More details to follow)

As of Today October 20, 2010, Rex Guy, John Sarppraicone, Robert Hart, and Don Cretty are announcing that these tracks are working together for the 2011 race season. The tracks included are Auburndale, Desoto, Citrus, Lake City, Orlando, and New Smyrna.

To start we will be running a 12 race Late Model Series.

We are also looking into putting together a Truck as well as an Open wheel Modifed Series.

    TIRES:
We will all be on HOOSIER TIRES for the 2011 season.

There will be more details to come as the details are finalized between these tracks.

We are all looking forward to making the 2011 season better for all drivers and tracks.

I know this will be a big change for Auburndale since they have been racing on American Racers, but for the 3 FASCAR tracks, they have been on Hoosier tires for a while. What tires did Citrus and Desoto use? Are the tracks going to be using the treaded/grooved or slicks next season?

Before we all start cheering too loudly (we)? who is we and who is going to run these (series)?
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

There seems to be a lot more questions than answers. Please excuse me if I am skeptical and have heard this all before. Do we really expect all these tracks to get along?

Let me put this out there - for the late models, how is this better than the FAST series?
www.FloridaSprintCarFans.com - because Florida sprint car racing needs all the help it can get...

Dont write FAST ofso quick they said 7 races apx 1 each that leaves plenty of dates for FAST. This is good for SLM racing in FL. there is 50 cars and they are not going to all go the same races. If they can make the rules close it is good for the tracks and fans.

                            and ill say it agin
give me the 20 best cars .
Now u can sell tickets to the best race
(keep track of how many on the lead lap)

Just to clarify... this series will be 12 races, two at each track, not 7... Rex told me that this morning...
