So just let all the stuff that could or could not be legal just go, and tell the legal guys that the illegal cars/trucks that finished ahead of them are good to go?

Well, at least the title of the thread is appropriate. A comment like this from a so called "race fan" is unbelievable. If you want to eliminate DQ's then eliminate the rules. What should we call the class? The anarchists?

The way Tuna thinks, smart ass, is.... be consistant in tech. Forget who owns the truck, who drives the truck, who has the big money, who doesn't. Just use the same standards with everyone! And as of now, they are NOT doing any of this at NSS!!!! Guess most truck owners agreed with me last Sat. 3 trucks, pathetic!! Hell, its more exciting sitting and watching the traffic on rt. 1 in Edgewater!!

so tell me how much fun is it to race in a 3 truck field??. People gettin dq'd for 1/16" low after qualifing, anyone thats ever raced or been around racing know the race car can settle over 1/8 of an inch in qualifing or a race. I've seen tech not weven be able to get their measuring block under the BODY, say nothing about the frame and say nothing. So go ahead, dq all the ones you dont like, pretty soon there'll be 2 trucks there instead of 5. All I'm saying is it shouldnt matter who the owner is or who the driver is, and it should be totally up to the man in tech, not the track owner, race director or anyone else. Oh, Gun, do you honestly think ANY truck is totally legal??? Keep on dreaming.

Well since I opened my big mouth last weekend at the track to a couple of folks (management type) after the races when I was there as a "FAN" in the STANDS and not in the pits... Haven't worked with any cars for the last couple of weeks. Needed the break.

Now if anybody is paying attention, several of the trucks that used to run consistently at NSS were running at Auburndale on the 11th... Seems awfully strange... Not too mention that several of the Late Model drivers on the 18th at Auburndale are names that used to be pretty darn familiar to NSS as well...

It is too bad that things have gone down the drain at NSS as they have this year... Especially for the little guy there... The ones that count when it comes to supporting a racetrack.

It isn't about the DQ's that matters, it is the CONSISTENCY in how things are operated/overturned/etc. etc.. I fully understand that quite a few people work very hard at NSS and OSW, but some of the folks there really strive to undermine those hard working individuals(and if I offended those hard working folks last week, my apologies). I have all the respect in the world for those hardworking individuals, but it is so frustrating when their work is destroyed by others.

Honestly, one of the other races that was disgusting in the end was the Strictly Stock Race. There should have been a call made, but nonetheless I am sure if it was made, it was probably overturned.

                  Have a great day all....

And I would appreciate it if there is a problem with my actions or tone, please feel free to contact me directly and not through the grape vine.

mr. raceguy is correct . and many more people should be opening their mouths every week . even if there was a techman capable of changing a sparkplug at nss , it wouldnt matter because decisions are made over his head and behind his back . favortism rules . the real racers have had enough of the bs and embarrassing payouts , hence the migration to auburndale . and yes , the strictly stock race was an embarassment . and the waiting 10 min . under caution numerous times for the track pet to repair his car over and over again is going to far .

yes Don you sure can ! but first they would have to WANT to fix the problems . Which obviously after all this time they havent made any real effective effort to change a failed way of thinking , they arent going to because it would require admitting they are wrong , raising purses to entice the racers back , hiring the correct people to manage the racing and a real unbiased ,unintimidated techman who has proper engine schooling , and the power to make calls without being overuled . Yes it will take spending some money , house cleaning and hard work but yes it can be fixed . and as the nicest track to race on in the state of florida it dam well should be !

Seems I'm not the only one with eyes in my head, and i do agree, there are people there that work hard, and a LOT of people no longer there that work harder!!!

yep , but the problem is the ones who do work hard arent the ones making the decisions so their efforts are wasted .

                              out of frustration!

i would like to say my origional post was more out of frustration than anything. I would like to say I think sometimes we all live in the past too much, I know I do. There have been changes made, some I dont like at least on the surface but there again no one is gonna like everything all the time. All I really asked was not that the grey areas be made bigger, but just that EVERYONE be treated the same. I've been informed that the effort has been and will be made to make it happen. So I'm willing to wait and see if it is. I'm sorry if i was too critical, I will TRY not to be but no promises!! LOL Hey, discussion is good, I sincerely hope FASCAR is successful. One thing is sure, I'll be watching and if i don't like something I WILL say so, sheriff or no sheriff!!!! And sorry, I WON"T use names to qualify anything!!
