What happened with Julian Mullis? I always thought he was an excellent, take charge type flagman. He was always alert to what was happening on the track.

I've never seen a flagman on a flagstand that wasn't "descent". If they weren't they could never get off it. Of course they must have been "ascent" to get up there to begin with.
