I remembered the incident, but I couldn't remember the player. I asked Ricky Wood and he remembered. The driver {at least the one I knew about} who was dq'd for not running through the floor dry was Pete Starr. I called Pete to verify and it was definately him. I don't have a dog in this hunt, but it was driving me crazy that I couldn't remember. I wanna see y'all at an Auction or a Swap Meet some where, Buzzy

I love Pete Starr, he is a great guy. I was very happy to see him come back a few years ago in his Sportsman at Orlando. Pete was one of the racers I wrote about in my column when Florida Today actually had a column for local racers in Brevard County. Pete is the man when it comes to keeping mosquitos under control in Brevard, that is what he did.

Buzzy, thanks for the info, I'm sure you're right about Pete Starr, but he isn't the one I was referring to. I didn't say it was right or wrong, although unless the track wanted to buy my tires I wouldnt drive thru the stuff either. I'm pretty sure Jane remembers the time I'm talking about but she, like me doesnt feel that its fair to name them. Oh well, I appreciate the post, nice to know it didnt happen to only the one I was referring to. He acyually was sent to the rear for it and then DQ'D for trying to run over the flagman on the back stretch, kicked out 2 weeks, except they never returned to this day. About 3 yrs ago.
