Start a business that prints "forclosed" signs. That will be busy.

Buy a liquor store. You never see them close due to lack of business.

Sign shop - yep, checked on that one already, there's way too many people in that business since the digital graphics came around.

Liquor - yep, looked into a "trendy" alcoholic beverage business near UCF. Dealing with drunk college kids was the deciding factor in that "no".

Ice cream type shop near theater - Yep, tried that one but could not get the lease because of a non-compete agreement previously established by another merchant.

Still looking for ideas, and some more humor can be fun. Maybe another top 10 list from the resident Racing Letterman oka, Boneman.

You could always open up a tanning salon. Specialize in bikini waxing. The girls are always gonna look good no matter how the economy is.

Buy used (not used up) Harleys and ship them to established contacts in Canada, Australia, Asia and Europe.

We have a guy here in Québec that started that couple years ago, he buys Harley in Southern states, brings them here and sells them. First year, he sold 80 bikes, last year almost 500. And it's only a part of Québec. Spread that across the whole Québec, or Canada or 5 continents, well you get the picture....

Also, if you wanna stick to racing, I think a well organised auto salvage yard for race car could be a good business too, in the right hands. Hundreds of race cars of all kind for sale for cheap and gazillions of race car parts, so it might be worth a thought. Every year, on top of established organisations, there are new racing project being brought up by race tracks or racers, or new promoters, big big market.

                    For Andre

Do they still have that one mile paved track outside Montreal?
They race Indy Cars one year in the 1980's.

Yep! Still there. Sanair International Speedway.

Nice racing facility: *1 mile oval track, 1/3 mile oval track, 1/4 drag racing track, and a road race track.

The 2 ovals are not used very often.

Has been tried many times over the years, but always a money loser, beside 1 or 2 shots. We always hear rumors that Na$car guys are coming to either buy or lease it, to do big shows on it, but it never happens.(& probably never will)

                      *: I think in reality it's a 7/8 of a mile.

                          Andre - thank you

Your suggestion about the Harley's is something I will explore. I have a business partner that is a used car dealer. I'll discuss this more with him. I have not considered the Canadian market.

Used racecar parts can be found on ebay everyday for pennies on the dollar. That is a good business if a person has the right contacts. Most of the used racecar parts dealers I buy from, buy their inventory at Nascar shop auctions and resale it on ebay and their own websites.
