Sad news for OSW

One of Orlando's Speedworld biggest fans is now in the hospital not expected to make it past today!

Many of you will remember Miss Debbie..she has a few health ailments and somtimes the EMT's would have to come over and see her for a few minutes to get her feeling good again. If you will remember a couple of years ago on the way home she was in a head on collision with a motorcycle. She was there every week that her health would allow! Always sitting in the same place with her daughter.

Recently she was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and it has spread...she is in the Hospital in Titusville only breathing about 4 time per minute...I was on the phone last night with a good freind of hers and her daugter..they put the phone to her but she could not must up the strenght the talk...but she acknowleged she knew who it was. She loves that track so much!!!! In fact she has asked to be there....permanantly.

We love you Miss Debbie, it is folks like you that give Orlando that "special" feel!

Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers!

Ms. Debbie and all her family are in my prayers. May God hold her in his hands and bless her and wrap his loving arms around her from pain. Orlando will definitely miss Ms. Debbie for sure.

Ms Debbie has been a fixture at OSW as long as I've been going there... and no matter how bad things were, she always smiled as she came through that front gate... ANY race track should be extremely proud to have such a loyal fan...
.
Hoping for the best for her and her daughter as well... wouldn't be the same without seeing her... She always has a smile for me when I'm heading trackside for an interview!

Hey Bone...the old girl that works the gate is Barbies Mom Mary..She is still kickin it good and strong...she is the hot old grandma LOL

BTW you can tell her I said that...as long as you give her a hug when you do it

Miss Debbie is a very sweet lady that usually sat with her daughter on the turn 4 side of the flagstand...she soooooooo much loves OSW! I just hope that she does not have to suffer as she has been through a whole lot! She was just getting to where she could get around again and then they found this. I could tell by what they were describing to me in the hospital room what was going on...my Mom went through the cancer battle and died 12 years ago last weekend...it is truly a terrible thing and you just hope for the comfort of the person going through it.

Just got the phone call that Debbie has taken her checkered flag.

Hopefully she did not suffer too much, I pray not. I am sure she will be watching down on Orlando and all her friends from now on. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family now.

I am so sorry to hear about Debbie. She was a great fan of OSW from the time I started going over there in 1999 and I am sure before that. God Bless her and her daughter. May her love always remain at OSW.
