I stumbled across this stuff. Both in mint condition. I may list them on ebay or might hold. Anybody ever see the calander and if so was it produced every year?

Old Florida Memorabilia
Roland Palot, publisher of the long ago defunct Florida Racing News, put out that calendar as a one time thing back in '77. No idea how many he printed but a few have turned up now and then in recent years. Pretty neat souvenir actually. I have a complete run of FRN in a hardbound cover that Roland gave me and it's a very special part of my memorabilia collection.

The older I get the more i forget. John Bevis put together a photo collage similar to the calendar with pctures of drivers for each county.Where possible he placed the picture in a county of relevance like Bobby Allison Dade etc.Originally posted by Marty Little View PostAnd dummy me refered to it as Florida Racing News and not Florida Stock Cars News. Shame on me. There was a one time in state trade paper titled Florida Racing News too. Pardon the confusion.

Just out of curiousity, what all tracks are on that calendar? I know Ft. Pierce, Eau Gallie, and Vero had closed in about '77 (Ft. Pierce, maybe a bit earlier?).
Would love to know what all tracks are on that thing.
And for that matter, what drivers are on there? I can recognize quite a few, but can't make out the names.

The one in the panhandle is probably Beaches Speedway in Panama City.Originally posted by Jimmy McKinley View PostJust out of curiousity, what all tracks are on that calendar? I know Ft. Pierce, Eau Gallie, and Vero had closed in about '77 (Ft. Pierce, maybe a bit earlier?).
