  • car count triples at Orlando

Ok so it only tripled in one class, but hey, its progress. Somehow we ended up with 21 Strictly Stocks last night. I don't know anything about Dan's Automotive, but we owe them a thank you. They showed up with 10 or 11 new cars last night. Everyone of them was painted junk straight from the scrapyard.....exactly what the class was meant to be! The drivers were clean and under control, and i looks like all the cars will live to race another week.

The bad news was MY class. If our car count tripled we would still be less than 10 total. We only had 3! I think that must be the low for the season.

Main grandstand count was 17 right? Give the people of the beautiful town of bithlo what they really want....school bus figure8 and trailer races. Hey osw, fix the water seepage and take care of the racers! It's wrong to open a zoo only to alienate the visitors and abuse the animals.

Doug Webb from Webb's Towing brought 13 cars and has always helped with car count.(use to work with ABC Towing) you can find him at orlando's infeild every week towing off cars and helping with lineup. THANK YOU DOUG. This is where it starts. You know some new drivers will want to drive a mini stock, sportsman, E-mod, legend or your favorite class the bandoleros LOL. Yes, More cars next week. Have not seen to many cars from E&H lately. William Won last nite but I know they have a few more cars in the yard.
      Man up and race.

Let's see... 3 Mini Stocks - 3 Legends - 3 Bandoleros (the winner lapped the third place car 4 times in a 12 lap race) - 7 EMods, pretty much follow the leader - 8 Super Stocks for a 50 lap race with 4 left after 10 laps so the race was chopped to 25 with no competition at all for Gould - Truck race was a joke - winner should have been DQ'd for blatantly dumping the leader - 7 of those... At least the Strictly Stock race was entertaining... Only 18 of the 21 started... Just one speaker working on the pit side..............................

Orlando shouldn't feel to bad Auburndale had less then 40 cars including only 7 for their OWM race.

Shouldn't have been so critical... Forgot it was a holiday weekend... Doesn't look like any of the asphalt tracks did real well... Just LM at NSS... Volusia had a bunch of cars though and so did Ocala...

Yup...good idea dave. Just bash the tracks on here and it don't matter what happens at your own track.
I think CMP had more cars than where you were at.....Just sayin'
Keep up all the positive reports

Dave why do you show so much negativity for Orlando Speedworld. It seems like now that you work for Aurburndale you praise that track and talk smack about Speedworld every week. Do the racers and fans a favorite. DONT SHOW UP TO THE TRACK if you are going to talk crap about it...

The stands were full at East Bay last night but the show dragged on for too long. 3 4cyl bomber heats, and 2 features for them was too many.

Hey.. our night wasn't that great but we expected a small field and that's what we got... the surprising thing was we had a really good crowd and the races were decent... I was really looking forward to OSW Friday even with the holiday, but it turned out to be a very so-so night... Still got to see a lot of my old friends, unfortunately most don't want or can't afford to race right now... I hate to say it, but it's going to get worse before it gets better, if it ever does...
