I was browsing on the DSS message board and found this post. I know Dave has raced at other tracks and has made alot of friends. Mary Anne was loved by all who knew her. She was addicted to cruises. ;-) we had even planned on taking one.... i asked her to call ahead and tell them to squeeze all the calories out of the scrumptious food they always serve. She was such a fun lady and tho i didnt get to see her often, i will not forget her. She had such a lovely smile and was so warm and friendly.... I wanted to be sure you knew we had lost a very dear lady and Dave lost his beloved wife due to cancer. Mary Anne... God bless you and keep you in His loving arms. May your new life be the ultimate happy cruise... Dave... we are here for you... God and your racing family and friends....
On Sunday August 15, 2010 Mary Anne Davis lost her battle with lung cancer.
As many of you knew she was diagnosed in February with cancer and 6 months
later it took her life.
Many of you knew her and she made friends with many of you. She loved coming
to Desoto to watch the races and tried to be apart of the Desoto racing family.
She will be sincerely miss but never forgotten.
Some have called to inquire about services for Mary Anne. There will be no service
She has asked to be cremated and will be going with me on August 28, 2010 to
Cozumel, and Grand Cayman to have her ashes dispersed there.
Thanks to all of you for making her time at Desoto an enjoyable and fun experience.
