RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY... THE SSCS MODIFIEDS AND STREET STOCKS WANT TO PLAY AT AUBURNDALE SPEEDWAY

After yet another wet evening that postponed the SSCS Super Late Model Coca-Cola Spooktacular at Auburndale Speedway last Saturday night, the track will try again to get a full show in as the Sunshine State Challenge Series Open Wheel Modifieds and Street Stocks will try and get a pair of 50-lap contests in the books after both classes have been victims of the current bunch of rain-outs. Weather this weekend is expected to be great, though.

Although it will be about a week late, trick or treat for the kids with the drivers on track will take place during intermission. It's DARN Apparel FFA night and the races for the Modifieds and Street Stocks will be the Fall Harvest Twin 50’s in honor of the Future Farmers of America. Also in action will be the V-8 Bombers, Modified Mini Stocks, Q Mini-Stocks, Scramblers & Mini Cup cars.
FFA Members in Uniform, wearing chapter shirts or with valid ID get in FREE!

In the SSCS Open Wheel Modifieds, it's a two horse race between point leader L. B. Skaggs who has a nine point edge over second place Eric Rudd. The championship will be decided between these two. Ander Jackson continues to lead the SSCS Street Stock points by 16 over Kenny Gibson while Danny Caylor is third some 24 points behind Gibson.

Pit gates open Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm with practice getting under way at 4 pm and continuing to 5:30 pm. Grandstand gates open at 5 pm with qualifying for the SSCS Modifieds and Street Stocks at 6:15 pm. Racing gets under way at 7 pm with
eight lap heat races for the Mini Cups, Q Mini Stocks, V-8 Bombers, Scramblers and Mod Minis.

After intermission and the postponed trick or treating, the Mini Cups will be first up for feature race action of 20 laps followed by the Q Mini Stocks for 20 laps and 25 laps for the V-8 Bombers. The SSCS Modified 50-lapper goes next followed by 20 laps for the Scramblers and 25 laps for the Mod Minis. The evening concludes with the 50-lap contest for the SSCS Street Stocks.

Adult admission for this great evening of action is just $15 with seniors 55+ $13. Children ages 5-12 are only $5 and all kids 4 and under get in free. The family 4-pack is just $32 for two adult and two children’s admissions (a $40 value). Pit passes are $30 per person and all parking is free. Again, all FFA Members in uniform, wearing chapter shirts or with valid ID get in free.
