After running on July 27th at Volusia Speedway Park in the first of three Eagle Jet “SHOOT OUT” events the points are as follows:
Danny Martin Jr. is leading with 150 points
Mark Ruel Jr in second with 146 points
Matt Kurtz is third with 144 points
Shane Kreidler is fourth with 142 points
Robbie Smith is fifth with 140 points
followed by Gene Lasker (138 points), Shawn Murray (136 points)
Bruce Durden (134 points), Johnny Alexander (132) and Rex Howe (130 points) rounding out the top ten in the “SHOOT OUT” point standings.
The next Eagle Jet Top Gun event will be Saturday, September 7th at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, FL., and will pay an additional $100.00 in appearance money per car and double points for the series season point fund. This will be a tune-up event for the final “SHOOT OUT “race scheduled for Hendry County Motorsports Park on November 2nd. On the final night of the Eagle Jet “SHOOT OUT” it will be possible for one driver to take home $2,300.00 plus the “Jeff Barfield Clean Sweep” prize monies.
East Bay Raceway Park will host the second of the three Eagle Jet “SHOOT OUT” events on Saturday, September 14th. Each of the “SHOOT OUT” races will pay an addition $300.00 for first place, $200.00 for second and $100.00 for third place and should add more excitement to the racing.
