Ya know, this place used to be a lot of fun. A bunch of friends giving each other a hard time, telling stories about the last weekends racing, and plans to get together for the upcoming weeks.
Now, it's nothing but useless drivel.
Post after post about upcoming events (isn't there a 'proper" section for that stuff, just as we have been told about actual RACING news???), hourly updates on the health conditions of who-knows-who (don't get me wrong... we do care, but don't need CONSTANT updates), constantly being told that WE should be thankful that Karnac ALLOWS us a place to come....
There is no FUN left here anymore. Hypocritical politics have left no room on here to talk about RACING. Look back at the last several weeks... has there been ANYTHING posted about races at East Bay? How about the situations at Bronson & Putnam, whether they will even open this year or not? How about some news about NSS starting a new E-Mod class, or the FAST or UDLMCS series?
NOTHING!
The 'powers that be" have killed any interest in people posting news, opinions or God-forbid, a real live racing re-cap. Look at how many faithful Karnac users don't even bother anymore. I think a message is being sent out, that the people in charge are just not picking up on.... that message is:
WE don't need you.... You need US.
Until some type of compromise is worked out, I'm absolutely sure you will see your numbers consistantly falling. Customers don't shop where they are not wanted. And we, as CUSTOMERS of this site AREN'T wanted.
What a shame that is too, as I have made MANY great friends through this site (including Jack, Rick, Jane & Todd... the people that either allow or ban what is being said), and I hope to for many more years. Don Nerone made the mistake of publicly stating that he "didn't WANT 40 LM's at his events... only the 20 BEST ones". Well, that's what is happening here too. Protecting a few, has been chasing away many... including yours truly.
Someone within Karnac needs to start mending fences with your faithful readership before it's too late (keep in mind, for a lot of people, it's already too late). Jack had built up a pretty good thing, becoming the premier web-site covering racing all over Florida (which isn't just a self-proclaimed title... it is true), but now in his absence, is turning into a pile of ashes. What a shame that trusted people would do this to someone they loudly proclaim to be their friend.
I'm pretty damned sure that this will get windexed, or moved to the Complainers section, and likely get me banned. But for whoever gets to read this before it goes POOF, I hope you realize this is being said as constructive criticism. And when it does go POOF, it will prove my point. Hell, another former poster here has been banned from this site for something he said ON ANOTHER SITE... it wasn't even said here. And yet, Jane goes to the other site herself, with her track promotion that is only allowed here by certain people, but banned for others. The power you people think you have is just amazing to me
