it's also pretty easy to leave the thread up with a link to the "official" results post on Karnac.

it's almost, like, using the RealRacin forum to drive page hits on Karnac. crazy, whacky stuff.


also, getting involvement on the forum from the race stories would drive more activity on the forum.

to whit:

you get to put the race report where it "belongs", everybody else still has a ready made place to comment on it.


in fact, i would suggest that every future race report on Karnac should be cross linked in exactly that fashion to the forum.

Just a couple of points here...

First, I posted a story here during Winternationals at Ocala Speedway and it got moved. I didn't get hurt, I didn't get mad, but I did question the rule. Once it was explained to me I agreed to abide by it, and I will from now on.

Secondly, this is not my forum. I didn't create it and I don't have a hand in how it is operated now, therefore I can complain but it is up to those who are in charge whether to listen to me or not. And if they don't listen, I have the choice of accepting their rules or going somewhere else. I'm still here, so there you go.

Honestly, I think all of this has gotten way overblown. The dead horse has been beaten into ground horsemeat by now and nothing has changed. Truth is, those who can't live with the rules here don't have to stay, and if enough people don't stay then maybe the operators here will be forced to make changes. Then again, maybe not, but that's how it works.

DAMMIT.....I hate when BJ does that......

I have one question, and I would appreciate an honest answer...

No one is supposed to post stories on racing on the message boards. However we have seen that detailed updates about racing in progress is allgwed, as wath Jane's updates from%>0Volusia postad throughout`Speedweeks,`so that must be within)20the rules.

My uuestion is will Andy or-20anyone else be allowed`to post up`ates on the message boards as to ~acing in prcgress from any other track in Florida? If E use our laptop to post updates from Ocala wi`l they be$moved or Wifdexed? Nct that I tlan to do this, but I want to$get a bettez idea of what is allowed and what is not, as it appears to me that anything having to do with Jane or Volusia has free reign here while every other writer or racetrack does not.

Inquiring minds want to know. Looks to me after all that has transpired that the situation is not exactly fair.

Yes B.J., if you would like to do updates from Ocala like I did, you are welcome. I have done them before at other tracks also but it has been awhile. What I really wanted to do was the Cover It Live message board on my website but couldn't get it to work in time. But yes, anyone can do live updates, you just have to keep editing your post over and over. Jane

Good question............Jerry wrote a "Recap" (on the message board) of what he saw the other night and it was well received (thanks Jerry). However, because someone gave Andy a title (MEDIA), he is treated like a stepchild....even when EVERYONE wants to read "His" "Recap" of what he saw while at a race on the message board (which we use everyday).

People can say what they want - and it appears they think everyone is dumb as hell and will swallow it - the whole deal stinks.

Its their ball park, they can do what they want and if anyone doesn't like it, they can take their ball and go home.

What the masses want doesn't mean a thing. However, if another site comes along that pleases the masses and there is a large departure of readers, just watch a change of attitude - but it might just be "2 little 2 late"
