VSP - 70 Late Models?

Just called VSP and they said there were about 70 late models there - can anybody on here confirm that? I was on the fence about going tonight but that might push me over.

I went to VSP last week when they had 70+ modifieds and 40+ sprints. The show had 10 heat races and 3 B mains before the first feature race rolled off.

It was a good night, but this race fan prefers features instead of waiting through 10 heat races.

JERRY - NO ONE SAID YOU CAN'T POST RESULTS, IT WAS ONLY THE STORIES THAT WE ASKED NOT TO BE POSTED ON THE MESSAGE BOARD. FUNNY HOW MARTY LITTLE SENT HIS IN FOR THE SPRINTS AND DID NOT POST IT ON THE MESSAGE BOARD BUT THEN AGAIN, MARTY HAS BEEN DOING MEDIA FOR A LONG TIME AND KNOWS. BUT NO ONE EVERY SAID NO RESULTS COULD BE POSTED.

Yea, I was there last week and they had a huge turnout. I may not even make it through to the features, but would have seen more racing than I care to by midnight.

Just for the hell of it, I tried the Front Page looking for results... of the 10 stories posted, 8 were from Volusia, 1 from East Bay (not even a results story), and ZERO about New Smyrna.

I think some folks are interested in having us read what they want us to read... but not the stuff we want to read.

Over the years, I have heard that Jack Smith doesn't believe in censorship - so what's the deal? Don't think he has had a change of heart do you?

Jack Smith has had many health issues and other projects in the past 6 months or so. I wish him well and a speedy recovery. Hopefully his heart will be into racing; we need his participation in this sport.

There is a new sheriff in town. Jack would have not put up with the comical manipulation of this site that is going on now.

Jane Smith posts what she is sent... Most of the Volusia stories are not written by her during Speed Week, she just posts what is sent to her... All results from East Bay have been posted (go to the "Results" link) and the one biography written on New Smyrna's opening night by Andy S. is on there too... Results are up for NSS last night, but no story... FASCAR has no paid writer, the best way to get info is to go to Speed51.com... their coverage is excellent and done minute by minute... The only show getting no media coverage (or anything else for that matter) are the Legend Car Winternationals at Orlando... I will not be there and , as far as I know, no one is covering this event unless Speed 51 sends someone over.... The USAC shows at East Bay should get plenty of coverage... If you are a Sprint Car fan, simply go to www.hoseheads.com for all the coverage and plenty of photos...

No stories have been sent out of New Smyrna however I have pulled results the last two days for everyone and put them under race results along with the story that Andy did for the first day. Volusia and East Bay have been the only two tracks sending in stories to karnac to post which I have posted them on the front page and race results and sometimes just results. IF I get something from Orlando on the Legends, I will post that also. I did get a story from Marty Little on the sprints at Citrus and Sunday at New Smyrna.

If you want to post results here, that is fine just the stories go under whatever track they are for but they are there. But we do post all results sent to us and then do some work on our own to pull others.

And Dave, I talked to Jason at speed51 who said no one is covering Orlando this year since they don't have LegendsNation anymore. He asked me if I could try and get him some results which I am going to do thru Brad Hockaday but as far as I know, no one is doing anything for Orlando. And thank you, I am not writing the Volusia stories but yes, they are sent in to karnac along with East Bay's and I do post them for them. Like I said, I pulled results from speed51 on New Smyrna so we would have something for fans but nothing has been actually sent to karnac.

As far as don't say nothing bad about Volusia, I have never said that on this board or to anyone. I am sure fans have complaints about it as well as all the other tracks in the state just like they have complaints about karnac. Nothing or no one is perfect.

Jane, you have a source for New Smyrna reports. He is someone that you have consistently insulted and belittled, although the rest of us find him congenial and extremely cooperative. If you are not being sent reports it is because of your attitude over the last several months.

Disclaimer---I speak for no one at the track except me, but it is obvious to any observer what has been going on.

i sure hope not .. they could lose a lot of fans over andy i'aint scared
i allways say what i mean . i would think that it would do a race track good to be able to read a story like andy writes


one you can understand i would think that would make more people want to go see the races

DITTOs Ron. I've been in treatments for the last month and can't go to the races as usual. Andy's storys give me a lift and hope to see more.

I have NEVER said he is a bad writer, bad person, or anything like that Rex and that is the truth. And I am not the only person who moves things on this board, Jack Smith has done it and so has Rick Anges. Why is the world coming to an end because a story was put where it was suppose to be and with results????????????????????

Andy is MEDIA and as media, you have a list of places where you send your stories for others to read. Why is his story not posted on the New Smyrna site for the fans???? He does write for New Smyrna Speedway and last time I looked, nothing had been put up there at all for the World Series and Andy's writing however I will check again when I have time.

I don't want to ruffle your feathers but when you wrote for Fascar you would post your race reports on the board. I can see where you would be upset that Andy has taken over but as you can tell most of us enjoy his long descriptive race reports. I don't see why its a problem for him to post them here as well.
