wish we were closer. My wife, Daughter, and 3 grandchildren were thinking about the big race at New Smyrna today. Got up and said I'm not so sure, its windy and cold. Then when I heard $20 just to get in the grandstands we ALL agreed, NO WAY! Figure $100 for tickets, one cheesburber and cold drink each another $25-$30, maybe a beer for 3 of us, another $15, you're talking $150.
I noticed CCMP today is $10 adults. I'd love to compare the # of fans at each track today. Who knowes, someone maybe arent as tight as I am and buy a couple hamburgers.!! I dont know much but I DO know empty bring in nothing on the best of days.

Tuna, we didn't have a big crowd but there was some good racing. The sprints elected not to come back today after a rainout last night but the remaining 4 classes were good. I would have to say the first annual open wheel winternational was a success. My hats off to Jeff Steiner who put the whole thing together. There wasn't a large car count but it was decent. It was colder than a well diggers butt. I sure was glad I had my horse blanket, Large heavy jacket. Bob...
