  • The State of Florida and our local Governments!!!

Don't forget to pay your tickets including parking tickets, seat belt tickets, etc. etc. Because if you don't pay them in a certain time period the county or city in which you received it, can A) send them to collections, B) Add a HUGE collection fee on it, C) SUSPEND your driver's license, D) put you in jail for driving on that suspended license.... E) Place a negative, crappy, Sh#@!y whatever mark on your credit file...

I understand the need to take care of your bills, and everything else, but give me a break... A seat belt ticket isn't a life threatening thing, for that matter, it shouldn't even be a damn law, but as you can see above, it can be on the rest of your life... Now why would the State of Florida and our beloved counties spend so much money just to try to make a little... Ahh Yes, Common Sense, the lost thing...

Well DAMN them for doing all that....

I know what I'm gonna do. I will just follow the laws as written and SCREW EM'.... that way, I won't be (1) Giving those turd balls my money and (2) not give them a chance to mess with me if I am either late paying or fail to pay at all.

Actually, I have already given them some of my money... but I think the last time I got busted for speeding - My Dad had to go to court with me.. if I remember correctly, the fine was a wooppin $25.00 (which was about 2 1/2 tanks of gas).

I think they ought to pass a law allowing us to (1) shoot anyone driving while on cell phone or (2) park the dumb SOB in a ditch.
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

      Me too....

Having loged over three million miles in the state of Florida as a truck driver, I know I wizzed them off by not getting a ticket. I'll just continue the way I've been doing it.

Huh, would you race without one? Guess I've just pulled too many unbelted bodies from cars to understand.

I beleive in wearing seat belts, however it has nothing to do with racing. It is nothing more then a tax or a money raising for the freaking government. If it was a saftey matter then people that ride motorcycles would be require to wear helmets. Wait until they fine you or send you to jail for not following their demands on their healthcare bill.

So two wrongs make a right? Actually I think the government spends more on "helping" the ones that are injured for life because the didn't use seatbelts or helmets. FYI, I was involved in emergency medicine in NY state when they passed the seatbelt law there. As soon as that law was passed I started responding to accidents with the victims walking around. The same type of accidents would have been fatalities just a few months earlier. When airbags became a standard in cars, I saw the same thing happen again. As for helmets, I just can't understand that. We all pay for that in increased insurance and taxes. Not to mention the mental suffering to families, friends, and emergency responders. Yeah, it takes a toll on them too.
I certainly agree with questioning Florida government. Now they're talking about outlawing plastic shopping bags but they still don't have a deposit on bottles. Like McCreary would do: shrugs......

                  unemployment tax

put all your employees on 1099, they become subcontractors. You can give their wages a raise by paying them the % you would be paying into s.s. so that part would not hurt them. Omaba, pimp Harry, Comrade Nancy and the 100million call girl from LA will provide them healthcare by taxing the rich.

Mr Duane has forgotten the one thing that most people forget... and it is the one that pisses me off the most when people (licensed drivers) think they are owed something...

Driving is a Privilege... NOT A RIGHT!

I personally hate the seat belt law but I abide by it... 17 years driving with no tickets and no accidents... they must hate me...

Get over it... Drive right and you won't have an issue... be an Ass on the street and the privilege is revoked... sounds pretty simple to me!

You pay for other privileges... Electricity, Cable TV, etc... It's the same thing!
