NO... it was totally hurtful, cruel and MEAN...I have "Heard" that there are MANY people that won't write anything on this board for fear of being "ATTACKED" by some of the Hurtful, Cruel and MEAN people...
I don't know how one person has all this great information nor when we can expect all THOSE people to start writing when the board becomes cleaned up (in other words a BORED BOARD).

not trying to be a wise guy but are you saying if I can't afford to build/have wa built motor and have to settle for a cheaper crate motor, which MUST have less H.P., otherwise everyone would have one that I should have to ad weight which SEEMS to me would only further handicap me. Why the sport is dying!

Money is, and has always been, the root of all evil in racing. promoters don't seem to understand that cars, drivers, and teams ARE the show. You will not be a successful promoter if you squeeze the teams for every nickel you can get. Let them run heads up and pay them back to at least 66% of the field with enough money to put a respectable ride imto the show. Heads up lets the teams decide what class they think they can run against and the rules should allow the underdog a slight edge. You want the seats full then allow a little freedom to those who are the show and let the fans know what your doing and why. Remember that a ten to fifteen dollar an hour guy can't support a family and an addiction anymore. I deal with sponsorships and promotions at some fairly high levels of the sport and the issues remain the same today if your Stewart Hass or Fenton Faircloth. Promoters need to remember that profits come with sucessful fields, not from the same ten cars going in circles every week. Squeeze the teams and the seats will become empty real fast as Mike Helton is quickly discovering. The best local shows were always Alexander, Fenton, Gill, and the rest running and sometimes winning from the Howes, Sennekers, Martins and that madman from Wildwood, Dickie Anderson. That equality of talent and equipment is missing today and so are the fans. Think about it Bobby Diehl and the rest of you "promoters". Invest in the talent and the fans will come just as they do at Lanier and Eldora. Takes money to make money no matter the business your in!

I went there at NSS last Oct. during sprint show, not hardly anybody there in grandstand much. I drove all the way from Tampa, just to go see it, and also, went to see Daytona 500 Experiance behind the grandstand in turn 4 of Daytona Speedway. I took a tour around Daytona Speedway last Oct. that track look nice. They were paving while we were in the infield touring. If you like to see an update of Daytona Speedway.
