just got back from copes buying parts and other things and my son showed me the tape thanks

let me try to explain you are the last person we would run over . had been having trouble with gas pedal spinning wheels off corner so we have been working on rod from carb

so he could mash it different had allready told him to take it easy till ever body got strung out had been talking to book miller earlier before race and he said same thing hold back for little while

so he was trying to feather the gas on take off and it had hung up on heat race we won thats why pope nearly turned us around we worked on rod bent it some more

and when he eased down on it it hung he tried to stomp it to get it up all hell broke loose no body would try to win the race that quick then after cutting two tires off car

coming out of turn four guess who is behind us you then rod came off car shut off bam there you were again i was thinking about painting car red but not that way

so all the time we have raced together without touching sorry your movie person done good job we have not been racing open wheel very long guess that was our worse night really am sorry you had fine looking car see you ron abney sr -- ron jr said sorry also

My bride to be does the filming of our races. Thank you for the explanation. I know we have never even touched wheels in the times we have raced against each other that's why i couldn't believe all that happened. After watching the tape and reading your explanation of the events, we can chalk it up to one of those racing deals. We will miss the next race at Auburndale on the 27th but should have all the damage repaired by the July race. Look forward to racing against you guys again soon. No hard feelings on my end.

i have been a round long time been on karnac since start computer broke restarted lost post few years ago

would like to think i have helped more people than i have pppppppiiiiissssss off don't even remember how much i have gave away loaned gave tires too motors heads and god knows

how many demo derby cars skid cars race cars sold them so cheap they almost stole them then went out next week and won race

how many of you could not buy tires i gave you shocks wheels loaned you trailers truck to pull your car with bought breakfast for 50 of you or supper gave you fuel towed your rigs home at night when you broke down own way from races loaned you my car to go to funeral .. paid for funerals - helped pay for funerals , help you get your car out of impound when you got drunk

pulled you out of ditch took you home put you to bed our company allways gives - and gives and if we can no body goe's hungry

one thing we don't do we don't stab any one in the back so if you got any thing to say to me i'm at ever race track you can't miss see ever body can show you were i'm at have a nice day

No, he never wrecked me. It just took me till now to put 2 and 2 together and ask the question.

I raced off and on for about 6 yrs @ Ocala in sportsman and streetstock and he was in both divisions at times.

Sounds like you had some tough luck with the mod, hopefully it gets better.

Brian, i watched the video and must say you've come a long way from purestocks. Good luck and keep it up.

yea you are right that don's one of a kind he has gave a lot to racing probably more than he will ever get back .

he knows lot about racing some people get up set with him when he won't bend the rules for them thats don . you all got to pick aweek end that citrus ain't racing and auburn dale and i 'll call bunch drivers for you and give you some # i know the rain messed you up and got you off schedule .

but if you will give the open wheel modifieds a chance to race there you will not be sorry you should get some from north and down around here also

i know you all got a fine track and we are looking forward to coming up there and racing i believe on june 20th and july 4 th and july 18th

i an't making up a schedule i beleve citrus and auburn dale don't race that week end and that's long was from charlotte county so you should get lot cars


if you will make up a flyer and fax me one if rex and critter will let me i will print some off yours and pass them out

After reading your posts Ron on this thread I've not even met you and have respect for you. I don't agree with settleing everything with a fight but judgeing from your posts your from the old school and I would guess you have worked your butt off for everything you have. I might get over to A-Dale one of these days to race my modified and hope to get a chance to talk to you. I hope you and many others go to Lakecity for the modified race. I have a wedding to go to so not going to be able to make it.

hey dont be upset about not being able to call the OWM guys. there are alot more people who read this board than write. and when someone posts about a good paying race, they get in touch with each other. word spreads like wildfire! you really did just get in touch... ;-) i sure hope its a huge success. don and sandy have devoted their lives to racing ... some may not like the don but he is a 100%er! he says it like it is and some cant take that. lol oh well.... i love their track.. love the whole place. its gorgeous. wish i had a copter so i could go to ocala , nss, and lake city... so far to drive alone with 2 kids...!
