Well now that we have spent the last few days getting soaked, maybe the rain has allowed people to think about trying to fix OSW/NSS. It may come down to something like the inmates taking over the asylum. The only thing that I have seen work at other tracks was a claimer rule. I don't like claimer rules, but I've seen it stop about 85% of the bitching and finger pointing. Is it fair to the guy who has 10 thou in his motor and runs in a glorified bomber class? No, but 10 thou to win 100.00! There isn't any money to be made in racing and it should at least be fun. I don't see a lot of fun at these tracks. What I do see is people pissed off all the time, and with economy down, you can bet by late august car counts will be way down. The few fans who do show up to watch will go away also. I don't want to these tracks become condo's and sub-divisions. All it will take is a change in the tax laws and you can bet the sale will fast. Something needs to turn it around. Good racing, fair but enforced rules, car counts and fans is one answer.
