  • Rules for Fascar Sportsman

Not only is this a complaint for Fascar but all MOST other tracks for not making a uniform or near uniform set of rules. I understand it a business and that you want your regulars only at your track but the rules also prevent new comers from other tracks.

    1. Most tracks dont have crate motor rule listed. This is a very affordable and dependable way to go racing.
    2. Spoilers, some have 6" some have 6 1/2 some have nothing listed.
    3. Heads, ?????
    4. Firewalls, Fascar WTF, you are the only one that requires it. How about a right front weight penalty for those that dont have it? We are trying to keep cost down right? You want more cars to come to the track...
    5. UNDERSLUNG cars, once again, FASCAR, some of these cars that were built with them, are designed that way. If you cut them out, you might as well throw the car away. I recall at the rules meeting that we only had 1 cry baby when it came to this topic who built his car to Fascar rules 5 years ago. STOCK cars are getting harder to come by. Its alot easier to underslang a car then to cut one out. It makes the car a little more stiff and a lot safer.

There are several others, but these caught my attention. There are some positives that came from the meetings but when it comes to the actual rules for each class I saw very little.

The one thing that was so great for the Southern Sportsman Series is they took all the rules from the different tracks and blended them so most sportsman could run with the series and still be competitive.

your are barking up a tree on this one. Every driverin the state would like this and have said so. But the owners egos will never let it happen.
