  • A complant about MY home track(former?)

I decided to visit CMP last night because I've been reading about how Jeff Prescott(sportsman) and Jason Garver(late model) have been dominating their respective classes lately. I get to the window and find out that NEITHER class is running! I'm told it's because of a special event(FASCAR trucks, WHOOPEE)! So, on the way to the DIRT track I realized that the CMP probably didn't want to have to pay FOUR classes in one night! What B.S; trucks, pure stocks(hardly get paid anything) and FREEBIE JUNK CLASSES! Who wants to watch pieces of crap roll around a 1/2 mile track at 55 mph? And i won't even comment on those mini cars with the motorcycle engines! Okay I will, they suck worse than anything I've ever had to endure!!! Thanks for the vent and the complainers corner! JM

Did you expect any different from the "New" management? I feel bad for you RSB and other fans in that area... unless you like Dirt, you got NOTHING to choose from. Bronson sounds just as bad, and for them to promote their $10 admission for an all support-class show as "Roll Back Prices" is a complete joke. Sorry folks, Trucks and Sportsman classes as the top division ain't cutting it.

One other guess... $15 to get in, because it's a "special" show.

I'd be willing to bet that you saw more racing at NFS than you would have by going to BOTH CMP and Bronson.

Tim.... You know I've always liked you and respect the hard work you've put in, but your alliances with the boss are professional suicide. I hope someone can make sense of things there, and turn it into a success. Trucks ain't gonna fix it!

I still love you two guys. When I see you we're gonna have a great big group hug.

My alliances are right where I believe they should be. I'm not here to be fashionable or popular. I would rather commit "professional suicide" standing beside unpopular LEADERS than help the stupid and ignorant murder an industry and sport we all love so they can be popular. Sometimes doing what you feel is right causes critisism and I accept that.

It ain't over till my ex-wife sings!
You can educate the ignorant......but you cant fix stupid

        Cmp

I have to say something. It gets to me that I always here people say the crappie classes or the junk classes. Back in time there was mostly junk cars racing. Knock out the window's chain the door's shut and go racing. That is what made short track racing. I here people all of the time say they rather watch us then the big boy's. We put on a better show then them. I have been racing for a long time and when time's was different I raced the higher classes but now in life all I can aford is the crap class. There are something's that I don't agree with CMP but they are trying. Things in life are changing and people don't have the money like they use to.

          dont be so sensitive... ;-)

alot of us use the terms you mentioned but it is a term of endearment. we all know where we came from. without your class acts, i dont think the tracks could survive. i LOVE watching a good bomber race... if there are more than 5 cars.... nothing is fun watching when there are only a couple of cars/trucks.. most of the road warriors are junkers fixed up for racing. so please, chill out... its just a term used for lack of something better.

Hey guys, don't knock Bronson.....I work at Ocala on Friday and earn enough to get my 'fix' at Bronson on Saturday. It's been a lot of fun and clean racin'. Its a clean place and good people to deal with. Sure car count is down, but where is it not anymore.
Hey I got some Bronson passes for G/A, See me for a couple...
