Can we come on Thursday night and get our license? Car not ready but want to keep the number.

What is the prices for license this season?

  • #2
Never mind, just saw a post from Jane from earlier. OUCH!!!! Everything went up in price to race. Admission to pits without a license, our license, gas, ...etc. Does that mean you are paying out more money for winning and on back into the field?

      Cara,

Yes licenses went up to 75.00 driver and crew 60.00. With them the pit gate is $20.00 but without license $30.00. Gas also went up last week to 7.00 a gallon for 110 and 8.00 for 112. I can't speak for the purses since I don't do that but yes Cara, everything has gone up but then again, everything has gone up also in everyday purchases. Eggs are like gold and milk, well, you might just buy a cow if you drink alot.

And yes, I will sell licenses this Thursday during practice. I will be in the pit office with my trusty camera. Hope to see you then.

Like they say. Raise the prices and pass the savings on to the customers.

Higher prices means better races right?

I would certainly hope not ....I think if they want to purchase a crew license it saves them $10 bucks on pit admissions is the way I took it.

No, they don't have to buy a license but alot do to save the money at the pit gate but it is not required that crew buy licenses.

The only thing I think when I see $30 as a fee to get in a pit to help the show on reg show*,is the promotor is to lazy to get the stands full,so is raping the racers cus he knows he can,as the EZ way out of doing his job...,as time has gone on,this is more and more the case, park pad fee, inspec, fee for just anything,ya i know i didn't list all the fee's thay can do,but why give'm ideas. 40 years i been racing and this is the dumist i've seen it now. Time to

                  Maybe i'm having a bad day,year,decade?

Frankly I'm with you. The drivers and pit crew put on the show. And yet they have to pay to BE in the show. How dumb is that.

It will discourage interested people, and potential racers, from checking out the perspective from the pits. Lots of people say they want to come out to the track, but the pit entry fee of $25 used to turn some of them off. $30 will not help this.

Sorry I haven't responded until now. I was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning and just got home noon Friday. Had severe chest pain the night before and it scared me since dad had so many heart attacks. Seems that everything checked out except chloestrol was up and my blood pressure shot through the roof as soon as they got near me with needles so now I am meds for that.

Had hoped to make it last night to get my license but not really sure if I am going to be able to afford to race with everything going up.

I hope the weather is good and everyone has a great time and put on a great show. Let me know how long I have to be able to keep my number.

Cara, Get well soon. Yea those can be some bad things if you don't see a Doctor about them. And yes $30.00 pit fees, $3.50 gas to get to the track (I hope that price is still good when I post this) and $8.00 fuel for the race car. It doesn't look good for racing future.

I just can't believe that the back gate price went up another 5 bucs and gas up to $7.00. I will have to start to agree that it easier to put it on the racers then go out and find sponsors to help with the bills. I can't believe that OSW is that close to Orlando and can't find 15 or 20 sponsors to help out. This well diffently hurt alot of people. I not going to put the blame on any one person but it seems like it just easier to make the racer pay more and get less then go and bust your but to get sponsors for the track.

                              Cara,

I have your number saved right now. You have up to one month to get it but if you need longer, just let me know.
