Don Nerone wasn't perfect, yes he made mistakes, he made one with me and people I was helping one time but like I've said, I understand the circumstances, know he thought he was right and I have never said a thing about it nor will I. There's a few "lug nuts" on here that will cut up anyone that's not around any more, or they never met, or disagrees with someone, but there's one thing they forget, or more accurately, don't want to admit. The racing was a lot better then, a lot bigger crowds, a lot more $ coming in and I never heard this new attitude "if you don't like it, go someplace else." Everyone is unhappy now, the car owners, the drivers, the fans, "or maybe I should say one time fans".
