To the highest gas prices in the United States.
Suncoast Energy Station, just a tad-bit north of the Orlando Int'l Airport on Hwy. 436, is the very last gas station located before most visitors/tourist return their rental cars, and most are in need of feuling/topping their tanks before dropping off their rental cars.

Filling rental cars upon retuning them is a standard procedure for all rental agencies, and if not topped-off, an agreed upon price-per-gallon charge is added to the final charge, usually twice the local price per gallon.

Tonight, the price for the cheap lo-test is $5.97/gallon--almost $2.00 a gallon more than the others right now.

So most tourist stop in and start gassing up, and here is the kicker: there is NO sign out in front of the Station to post the current prices-per-gallon on any 3 grades, plus diesel. You have no idea what the charges at the pump will be. Some leave, most are too whipped to fuss about it.

The Suncoast Energy Station has until May 22nd to install a big sign out in front to stop any further trickery, per County Code.

the only person iv ever heard of going to jail for gouging was a tree guy after a hurricane .iv never heard of a gas station owner .thats a very good point, and what makes it worse is that it is right in our faces but nothing is ever done about it ..the small town i live in gas is 3.92 a gallon drive to town its 3.70

Yes, the same here. 10 miles up the road, same brand, 10-15C cheaper. When does it reach the point its gouging?? Remember the roofers after the hurricanes, doubling or trippling prices, using illegal mexicans to do shoddy work? It was a o'k with enforcement. I love this country, but we DO have a corrupt government.

That station owner is making a few cents more. Check what the price of a barrel of oil is and compare to last year and year before. You guys do realize the taxes to gas that was approved as much as 4 yrs ago is just being added. State, federal and local. Guess what? they will be adding more taxes. Think before everyone screams OPEC, oil companies (scratch that, the oil companies are crooks) and the station owners. Who, if they compete with other local stations make about 5-7 cents per gallon to pump it.

i dont know what they make per gallon but when u go to 1 kangaroo and drive 5 miles to another and there is a 30 cent differance somethings wrong ....i think it comes from corprate . they know where there stores a located ..its not all the oil companys falt there just makin a dollar cant blame them for that im a capitalist

Well Benny, that is all true, except how can they all be making 5-6 cents a gallon when the same company owned stations, Kangaroo for example price vary10-20 cents a gallon, both in the same county, same taxes??

In many cases bro the oil company is featured or contracted and the gas station is owned by a local. A friend of mine up here owns 15 (BP gasoline) gas stations. I remember the 7-11 @ narcoosee road and the beeline being 1.50 or more higher since they built it because of Alamo rental. I have been back through there in the last couple of years and see there is a new station nearby. But i said the same thing in the 90's when i lived in St Cloud and worked in Orlando..........I would NEVER stop there LOL.

DO any of you KNOW that we have MORE oil than Saudi Arabia and Egypt combined? Nope, most dont know that. But the LIBERALS and ENVIRONMENTALISTS wont allow us to drill here or in OUR FRIGGIN state of Alaska or off (over the horizon) in Florida.

How many of you know that Obama allows China to drill 80 miles off our coast?

Most of us are aware of the above information,however, I can't seem to find ONE white person here in Flori-duh to admit they voted for the 'kneegrow'.

He is pandering to the 'tree hugger' vote on this oil thingy and buying votes with the entitlement moocher class out there. God help this country if he is reelected.
And BTW, we Republicans need a strong candidate in 2012 to take control. I don't see many I like out there right now either. Trump is a joke and Palin is just a pretty.....um.....er....face.
