          Diabetes...

diabetes is controllable. if you eat properly and exercise you can control the sugar count. online you can find alot of free help from diabetes foundations.
the govt. doesnt just call you up and offer help. you have to research and find it. how old is she. im diabetic and get all my diabetes meds and supplies free thru medicare...
there is help out there. you have to search. diabetes is controllable & is extremely dangerous if not controlled!

Have her contact her doctor to see if they can contact the manufacturer on her insulin. Sometimes when the doctor asks the companies, they will send some to the doctor so she can pick them up. I understand what she is going through because my son uses insulin with type 1 diabetes and lost his insurance at the end of July and with his new insurance that costs us almost triple and we have to pay the first $500 in deductible for meds. Check with your local chapter of ADA (American Diabetes Association) and see if they can help also. They may know of some organizations that can help getting insulin. My Mom has type 2 but only takes a pill but is controlling her's mostly with diet.

If I find some other information that could help, I will let you know. Good luck and will pray for her and your family.

              Free... I paid for it

I am not mad at anyone but this idea that i got FREE medicare just drives me up the wall!!!!!

              I PAID FOR IT!!!!

Nothing is free in life the government takes from those who have and gives it out as they see fit. No one asks me, they just take it from me at the point of a gun. Try not paying what they want and see who shows up at your door.

One of these days all of us that they keep taking from are going to have enough and fight back. I am going to be 50 next year and may live to see the revolution before my old age. Hopefully I will not be to feeble to participate.

I am in my mid 40's and my dad (R.I.P) was on medicare, so i paid his in my opinion. My mom who is now in her late 70"s also gets assistance from medicare, so in my working career i see myself paying for my parents. I have no problem with that. My problem is I'm afraid no one will pay for mine!

Alot of things are determined upon what type of Diabetes you have... Type 2 is controllable through proper diet... Type 1 is not... And As many do know certain insulin supplies are very expensive...

                  Have a great day all...

                    you are right.

i dont know anything about type one but i do know there is some help available. you just have to search for it. my son had a heart problem. he searched the internet for help and drs. in colorado got him safely thru his heart issues. He has a stint... and even follow up visits FREE....
there is help for diabetics ... i get circulars and emails everyday....if you dont know how to navigate the internet then ask someone for help. its there!
one thing that also disturbs me... if ppl can afford to smoke, or drink, or do drugs, or race, or eat out at fancy restaurants, they can afford some kind of health care. Priorities.... and i dont mean to hurt anyone.... just stating a fact.
