So the word out there is that Gary Laplant, formerly part owner of Charlotte County MS is trying to buy Bronson Motor Speedway. He is soliciting investors and seems to be calling everyone with a fat wallet to get this going. I certainly hope that no one is really thinking about giving this guy any money. Did we not learn anything from Charlotte, when he and Bobby Diehl swindled just about everyone?

Gary Laplant does not have what it takes to run a track. His business practices are questionable and his entourage is a bunch of drug using, convicted criminals, not the image that anyone would like to see at a family race track. Anyone investing with him can kiss their money goodbye. It's happened before and it would most certainly happen again. I would like to see Bronson opened again but not by Gary Laplant.

I hope that someone out there is willing to buy and reopen Bronson, it would be a great addition to the North Florida race scene. This was just something I felt really needed to be addressed.
