...turns out this clip is a fake.
A friend of mine who's in the business brought it to my attention (thanks Allen) that this is actually a digitally re-mastered video combining two clips; one of an actual stunt plane then one of a model / RC plane losing a wing and brought in for a safe landing.
It was a gimmick promo for the German Clothier "Killathrill".
