INfamous for my INtemperance on the INternet.
I ran into him at Jax Raceway a month or two after that radio spot.
He saw my truck and flashed his headlights, so I pulled over and he came up alongside. Seemed to be a super nice guy,, friendly and all that, he was saying how much he liked my truck etc... (nothing about the show)
My take is, the show (and him) are a gig and nothing else. He makes money with that RADIO personality, but off the air, he's a regular guy.
All that spot was because he asked callers to call in and say why they didn't like him... I had never called in a radio program, but I had some issues on how he treated people (Fools) that stood in line for his autograph. I had observed him at several tracks where-in he sat there and ignored the fans (Unless they were buying some on his sick CD's). He would carry on conversations with other guys on his side of the table and just sign autographs and pass them to the fans as if he was bothered doing so.
One guy at Golden Isle came back to the table to tell Bubba that his name wasn't spelled WANE, it was WAYNE (that was a great indication on his smarts level).
Of course, the crew on the show, tried to turn everything around and make me out to be the ass. THEY hung up on me and said that I hung up on them.. I called the show back to tell the real deal... but they have the control buttons and made the whole thing a good gig for the show. It plays almost every time on the BEST/WORST OF BUBBA'S SHOWS from what I am told.
Contrary to one clown's view.. I DON"T listen to Bubba daily, nor have I ever mentioned the word FEMALE on that radio spot. Note: Same clown never has anything positive to say about anything.. Must be dealing with some "Small" issues in life. I can always count on a response from him/it.
The guy is smart enough to make money off other people that will listen to that crap...wish I could have done it. Otherwise, I think he's a regular guy (just has a great gig going for himself).
