Team 100 kicks off 2008 action at CCMP
Promoter Gary LaPlant has worked hard to make the Florida Suncoast Outlaw Street Stock Series a success.
The series had good car counts and exciting features in its frequent stops at Charlotte County Motorsports Park in 2007.
LaPlant is hoping for a great 2008, as well.
To kick off the non-point winter series, LaPlant has come up with the Team 100, which will unfold Saturday night at the Punta Gorda paved oval.
The Team 100 will not be an ordinary race by any stretch, as it will use the two driver switch-off format.
Action will stop after 50 laps as each car will change drivers and refuel. They will start the second 50 in the order they finished the first 50.
A big purse in the $1,000-to-win neighborhood has evidently attracted some big-name drivers.
Those who have said they are coming include Billy Bigley Jr., Randy Fox, Terry Price, Brian Beckner and Graham McCovey and many more, the new team to sign up and have some fun Yoho and Schofield.
Other races this coming Saturday night include Road Warriors, Thunder Trucks and 4-Cylinders new rules do not go into effect untill the points season starts Feb 2.
Racing begins at 6 p.m.
