For the second straight year Jay Foley from Stuart Va. has had a slow start.
Foley who builds racing engines for fellow competitors will have to burn some midnight oil if he wants to compete at Kenly, next weeks stop on the Whelen Southern Modified tour.
Foley was involved in a late crash on lap 138 that brought out a red flag condition. That crash also ended the night for James Civali.
Foley would finish 22nd in the Whelen Southern Modified 150.
In this same event last year, Foley finished 21st.
One thing for sure is that one could bet that Foley will be at the Southern National race next week at Kenly.
