Yes, there are 70 Late Models here, the "best of the best" including Jimmy Owens and Earl Pearson, Jr. with his new crew chief Jason Fitzgerald. Going to be one heck of a night at Volusia.

5:55 - Driver meetings are over for both Mods and Late Models. Late Model are now being called to staging for groups 1, 2, and 3.
6:03 - 67 Late Models are here. Right now they are in staging to go out for hot laps.

Mods have Peyton Taylor as the fastest of the 3 groups that were on the track with a 19.279. Late Models are up next for qualifying.
6:40 Hot laps are over and qualifying is up next for the Late Models. I will defnitely do my best to get you the top five in qualifying. So far Jimmy Owens is fastest out of the first two groups with a 15.962.
Prayer and National Anthem are done. First of 4 B-Mains for the Modifieds is on the track now. Heat 1 was 12, 75, 12. Heat 2 was Dale Masterson, Clint Bowyer, and Dave Weithholder, group 3 was Ty Dillon, 53, and Scotty Green. Buzzie Reutimann is leading group 4 but only 2 laps are down so you never know. Buzzie was second, Peyton Taylor won the heat with the No. 1 in 3rd.
6 heats for Late Models, 8 laps each heat, top 3 go into A-Main. Heat 1 - Jack Sullivan, Jimmy Owens, and Rick Eckert. Heat 2 is Brian Birkhofer, Don Schlieper and Tim Fuller. Heat 3 - Vic Coffey, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Josh Richards.

Jared Landers has won followed by Shorty Scott, Austin Dillon, Jared Hawkins and non other than Kenny Schrader. Clint Bowyer fell out and Kenny Wallace finisheded maybe 20th or so. But Jared Landers has won.

Brian Birkhofer leads right now followed by 12 Jordan Bland. Jimmy Owens is 4th, Caution lap 10 for 4T of Kerr. Birkhofer continues to lead the way with about a 10 car lead over second place 29 Darrell Lonigan. Lonigan and Birkhofer are going side-by-side for first whenh Lonigan spins in turn 2 but did not bring out the yellow and continues in second. Lonigan has now taken over the lead as Birkhofer follows in second,20, 9, and 21. 21 has passed 9 and taken over fourth as 9 goes to fifth. The 29 has won and fans are going home. Complete results will be up later.
