The “Hawk” Get’s #1
It was just a matter of time…. Jacob Hawkins in his #8 Chad Fife owned Hyper Chassis with a Honda 600cc powerplant pulled out a spectacular win in Race #8 at Tucson, AZ on Saturday night over a fast charging #34 1000cc of Kurt Stults owned by Ted Williams. Jake Fife, the Main Wrench on the #8 could not have made their car any better as Jacob held the top spot for the entire race. Hard Charger of the race, Kurt Stults, who started in position #10, wasted no time dicing through the field in his effort to catch the “Hawk” and made it a very exciting race right down to the finish line. The night started out with a field of 18 Modified Midgets on a very fast track. Heat Race #1 was won by the #61 Pace Chassis of “Flying” Matt Jackson with Heat Race #2 going to the #34 of Kurt Stults.
