From Marty Little:
A.J. "Nokie" Mallory, 68, of Franklin, N.C. passed away at his home on November 2 following an ongoing battle with cancer.
A native of Miami, Mallory was a long time regular at Hialeah Speedway and also competed for several seasons at the Palm Beach Fairgrounds Speedway. Mallory's most familiar ride was the Bill Roth owned No.16 late models but he did drive for others as well over the years.
Following several other Florida drivers, Mallory ventured north and tackled the very tough NY/NJ/PA dirt modified circuit in the mid 70s and found limited success, mostly at the Nazareth (Pa) Speedway.
