Major league baseball blows, its worse then nascrap. A bunch of over paid prima donnas who barely speak English.
That's right folks, because when all of our grandparents and greatgrandparents were immigrants, they were treated great and spoke perfect English when they got off the boat, right? USA! USA! USA!
Anyway, if any of the posters on here could wear shirts reading, "Soon To Be Disappointed Rays Fan," I'd appreciate it. That way I can walk over and introduce myself during the game and you can compliment me on my Phillies attire.
Sorry, I used to be a huge baseball fan when I was younger. I think the strike and the whole steroids thing really did me in. I have not watched a single game since 1993.

Anyways, Baseball is Americas Pastime. Central and South Americas Pastime.
Not being racist, its just the way it is.
I'll agree with you on the steroids and strike thing. I didn't watch baseball for a good five years after that.
Patrobins, have you ever been around the east side of London? I can remember a few times talking to some people with thick Cockney accents and thinking to myself, "I know we're both speaking English, yet I can't understand a word you're saying..." but a couple of Guinness solves all of that.

Lol, I guess that would be like Ron Abney and Snoop dogg trying to have a conversation.
Ed and Tripp, you're probably right, sort of like NHL Hockey Players seem more apt to speak French or Slovak, and NBA Basketball Players seem more apt to speak, um...slang/gangsta' Ebonics.
At the start of the 2008 season, Las Vegas had the Rays at 200 to 1 odds shot at the Title.
Vegas now has the odds at minus $1.35 for the Rays, and plus $1.15 for the Phillies on a $1.00 bet.
Geez....my dead grandmother could hit a homerun out of that place. I heard they couldn't have the little league world series there because the kids complained the wall was too close.....heh heh heh.........
gotta admit it's pretty neat to see a pitcher hit a dinger once in a while.....plus he shut down the Rays....dang it.
Oh well.....they'll be plenty of steak and cheese sandwiches to drown your sorrows back in Philly after Game 7, Trip.......lol
