As more and more tracks vanish it becomes painfully aware that eventually there will be damn few left if any at some point in the future.I know for a historical marker you have to apply for one usually I believe through a county historical society.I don't know about any stipulation as far as a time capsule so maybe somebody else does.I know of a few tracks that have had an historical marker placed on their final resting place but very few.As even bigger venues like N.WIlkesboro Speedway are being reclaimed by nature,it is painfully obvious that fifty years or so into the future residents of the area will have no idea what once stood beneath them or beside them and that is as big a shame as the track being lost forever.
