Eighteen open wheel modifieds qualified at Citrus County Speedway Saturday night.L.J.Grimm was quickest in Herb Neumann's #01.And the only one to get underneath the 14 second mark.Cody Stickler was second fastest.And it pretty much shook out that way in the 50 lap main event,with Stickler doing the leading and Grimm the chasing.And that's how they finished but post race tech found Sticklers tires to be treated illegally handing the victory to Grimm.Larry Welter Jr.claimed a heated Pure Stock victory which came down to a door slamming last lap with leader James Peters,complete with a yellow light flashing on as the two leaders came through turn three for an accident happening in turn two,followed by the green light coming back on as the pair rolled out of turn four.Confusion seemed to follow with everyone wondering if it was a completed race.Words between Welter and Peters followed in victory circle with post race interviews by the two didn't make it sound like they will mail Christmas cards to each other.
