Jesse Dutilly didn't have the fastest qualifying time Saturday night at Showtime Speedway, that honor went to Daniel Webster subbing for Chris Fontaine in Fontaine's #47. What he did have on his side was a good dose of racing luck. After being mired halfway back into the sixteen car starting field for much of the race he found himself riding in third place late in the race following along behind race leader George Gorham Jr and second place LJ Grimm piloting Webster's #33.Racing luck left him in the catbird seat after Gorham and Grimm got into each other in the last laps of the race with Grimm going around and making contact with the turn four wall.Dutilly inherited the lead and never looked back in spite of Michael Atwell's late race charge that had him on Dutilly's tail as the checker flag waved. My heart has to go out to Kendall Anderson who found himself riding in third and holding on until a flat right rear tire sent him pitside during a lap 72 caution of the 75 lap main event.Good racing last night, the mini stock feature was entertaining as you could ask for with two cars swapping the lead and inside/ outside position four or five times with the third place car locked to their tale. One question I have though is where are all the street stocks at? The last time I was there at the big outlaw Figure 8 event in February there were nine. Not much difference last night as there were ten. What gives with that? Nobody wants to race street stocks anymore?
