First off I have to say I like the Sunshine State Series Street Stock Division. The cars are fast and look and sound like real race cars.This past Saturday night the CRA held the Shady Bowl 200 at Shady Bowl Speedway in Degraff Ohio.Forty one Street Stocks competed for a shot at the 200 lap Two thousand dollar to win event.The CRA cars are both quick and good looking cars.The winners share was two grand but once again it was also 200 laps around the rugged hilly 3/10 mile eighty year old facility.Only 30 cars started the A main so eleven guys had to fight it out in the B main to get the final three A main starting spots.I would love to see the Sunshine State Series be able to get that level of involvement for their Street Stock division. Maybe even put a call out to some of those CRA types once the stuff up north winds down come October. I haven't looked at their rule books but looking at the cars I bet the rules aren't that far apart.Hopefully they will look ahead and grow that division. It's an entertaining group.
