MOD MINI 50 AND FIGURE-8'S HEADLINE SATURDAY NIGHT AT AUBURNDALE SPEEDWAY

Auburndale Speedway is back at it this Saturday night with a seven division racing program featuring the third Sunshine State Challenge Series Modified Mini Stock 50 lap race of the season here plus the return of the fabulous Figure-8 cars. Also in action will be the Legend Cars, V-8 Bombers, Mini Stocks (now sponsored by Q Auto & Injury Attorneys), Mini Cups and the Scramblers.

Tyler Simpson of New Smyrna Beach continues to head a tight points battle in the SSCS Mod Mini standings, just three points ahead of Venice driver Jeff Firestine while local Auburndale favorite Chris Spring is just two markers behind Firestine. Kenny Nurse, Jr. and Mike Kerrivan are fourth and fifth in points with Jimmy Frazier, Wayne Stenstrom, Anthony Lapoint, Jimmy Wood and Fred Paravicini rounding out the current top ten.

Pit gates open Saturday afternoon at 3 pm with practice by rotation for all classes from 3:45-5:45 pm. Grandstand gates open at 5 pm with qualifying for the SSCS Mod Mini Stocks at 6:15 pm.

Racing begins at 7 pm with 8-lap heat races for the Mini Cups, Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Mini Stocks, Legend Cars, Scramblers and V-8 Bombers. Feature racing follows with a 20 lap contest for the Mini Cups, 25 laps for the Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Mini Stocks, a 25-lapper for the Legend Cars and 20 laps for the Scramblers. After intermission the SSCS Mod Mini 50 will take place followed by 25 laps for the V-8 Bombers. The evening then concludes with the action-packed 25-lap run for the Figure-8's.

Despite all this action scheduled to take place, adult admission is still only $15 with seniors 55+ $13. Children ages 5-12 are just $5 and all kids 4 and under get in free. The family 4-pack is just $32 for two adult and two children’s admissions (a $40 value). Pit passes are $30 per person and all parking is free.
