RACES FOR 10/8/16 AT AUBURNDALE SPEEDWAY CANCELED - RESET FOR NEXT WEEKEND
Auburndale Speedway has decided to cancel this Saturday evening's racing activity following the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. There is no damage to the speedway property but the track has some seepage and the pits and parking are very wet and muddy. Also, some of the drivers and fans are from areas that have been severely affected by the storm and need to take care of cleaning up their homes and property.
This week's racing has now been rescheduled for next Saturday night, October 15th and will include the DARTS Pro Truck 50 along with racing for the Legend Cars, V-8 Bombers, Mod Minis, Mini Stocks, Scramblers and Mini Cups. An open practice has been scheduled for Friday night, October 14th.
This means Auburndale Speedway will wrap up the 2016 season with three consecutive weeks of racing: next Saturday night, Championship Weekend on Saturday/Sunday, October 22nd and 23rd featuring the finale for the DASS Sportsman cars and the Sunoco 100 for Super Late Models, then a special Halloween night on October 29th featuring racing, trick or treat with the drivers and a costume contest.
Also remaining on the Auburndale Speedway schedule for this year are the "Night of Destruction" on November 12th and the Joey Coulter Charity Truck 200 race weekend December 9-11.
