Veteran Announcer and friend Ozzie Altman to help promote & announce Joey Coulter Charity 200 Race Weekend
Orlando FL. - Ozzie Altman joins with the Joey Coulter Charity 200 Race Weekend !
"I'm excited to be able to add this year's Joey Coulter Charity 200 Race Weekend to my calendar," noted veteran race announcer Ozzie Altman. "It's indeed a wonderful event with a great cause and I'm looking forward to joining my fellow Floridians Joey Coulter and Rick Bristol in helping to bring a broader awareness and support to these families in need."
The event, being held for the 11th year, helps children and families facing serious and terminal illnesses and will be held December 9-11th, 2016 at the Auburndale Speedway !
"I truly appreciate Joey and Rick asking me to be part of this team as the mission of both the race and the golf tournament coincide with each of our beliefs in the dire need to provide and increase assistance for the families," added Altman. "I've known Joey and his family over the years as we've worked together in the racing industry and in unison with Darrell Gwynn in other endeavors to provide benefit to those in need. I know that Joey's heart is what drives these causes as he and Rick have done a very good job in bringing this event to where it is today."
The weekend event will include the premier event a 200 Lap Pro-Truck Race on Sunday December 11th, in which NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Ray Black Jr will compete. Also racing will be Modified Mini-stocks, Mini-stocks, Scramblers and a Bomber 50 lap event Saturday the 10th along with Pro-Truck Qualifying. The 200 Lap Truck race and a Scrambler 30 Lap event will take place on Sunday the 11th !
"Rick and the whole staff truly care, and whatever we can do as a team to bring more folks from the motorsports industry and our home state into this event, we're willing to do. It's just part of our civic responsibility and service to others," concluded Altman. "Anytime we can get together have fun while doing something positive is time well spent."
The Weekend kicks off with the 2nd Annual Charity Car show and the awesome Nathan Baldwin Band in concert in the Auburndale City Park Friday night the 9th. There will be raffles and a silent auction along with great family fun for all. NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Ray Black Jr. will be on hand to sign autographs as well and WPCV 97 Country and Max 98.3 Radio stations will be on hand for the evening doing live remotes and giving out prizes.
