FLF Racecars Added to List of Contingency Sponsors for Racecar Engineering Wheel Man Race this Weekend
Lakeland, FL (May 24, 2016) FLF Racecars out of Allegan, MI has come on-board to sponsor the Hard Charger Award for this weekend’s Wheel Man 50 Lap, $1000 to Win Sportsman event at Showtime Speedway in St. Petersburg, FL.
FLF Racecars have been building cars and servicing customers for almost 20 years. Owner Tim Curry first began racing in South Florida, and then moved to Michigan in the early 80s. He raced in the Midwest from the mid 80s-90s with more than 75 feature wins and one track championship. In 1996 he decided to stop full time racing and pursue his passion for building race cars. In 1997 he opened Finishline Fabricating, which is now FLF Racecars.
All FLF chassis are built on surface plate jigs with mild steel tubing DOM or chrommoly tubing. The moly-tubing is preheated before welding and annealed after welding for superior strength. Chassis come standard with two left-rear shock locations, one in front of the rear end for more bite, and standard behind. Also long and short top link and long and short right trailing arms. Citrus County Speedway and Track is a 3/8th’s asphalt facility located in Inverness, FL and is under the new ownership of William and Carlin Ray. The track has been undergoing extensive improvements since the beginning of the year and is planning to reopen on July 16th. Some of the improvements include new bleachers (with new incorporated handicapped seating), repaving the track, new pit side concessions, Victory Lane Café built on the grand stand side, upgraded speakers and sound systems and updated restrooms.
