Southern All Star Next Stop March Madness XIV At Cherokee Speedway
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series returns to action this weekend March 5-6 for Saturday & Sunday racing at the Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC., for March Madness XIV.
On Saturday the series will host a 35 lap non points paying event that will pay $3,000 to win and $300 to start with the points chase kicking back in on Sunday with a 60 lap $10,000 to win $750 to start. Both events will be sanctioned by the Southern All Stars.
The Southern All Stars opened the 2016 campaign last weekend at the Cochran Motor Speedway with Brandon Overton & Casey Roberts taking the wins, both of these drivers are expected to be in action this weekend, along with Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN., Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN., Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN., Dillon Tidmore of Glencoe, AL., Jim Rogers of Statesboro, GA., Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN., Chris Madden of Gray Court, SC., Bo Shirley of Gadsden, AL., plus many more drivers from across the southeast.
This will be the first stop of the season for the series at Lennie Buff’s track and this will Cherokee Speedway 24th Southern All Star events in series history.
Pit gates will open at 10am each day with drivers meeting at noon and hot laps to follow, there will also be a full racing program each day along with the Southern All Star events.
